Chicago, IL, April 14, 2021: Net Zero Analysis & Design Corp. is pleased to announce that OVGO, Inc. of Tokyo Japan, has achieved 100% carbon neutrality for its corporate office operations through 2020 with Net Zero Analysis’ Climate Change Action Program.
OVGO (Organic, Vegan, Gluten-free as an Option) produces vegan American-style cookies made from Japanese ingredients. The test kitchen offers an ever-changing array of delicious flavors using domestic rice oil, wheat, sugar, and spices and does not use any animal raw materials.
“Our goal is to promote a society in which each person’s different choices regarding food are respected and products that have a positive impact on society and the global environment can be selected without hesitation,” said Ms. Yuki Mizobuchi, President of OVGO. “We believe that our tiny daily decisions can change our lives to reflect who we really are, and consequently, can change our world into a better one.”
“Leveraging our qualifications as ISO 14000 and 14001 – 2015/2018 International Auditors and our expertise in carbon footprint calculation, we were able to work with OVGO to guide them through gathering relevant data concerning their operations and determining the total carbon footprint for the year. They then decided to offset 100% of that carbon footprint through an offset security purchase on the Entrex Carbon Market,” explained George Sullivan, CEO of Net Zero Analysis.
Stephen Watkins, CEO of Entrex added, “The combination of Net Zero’s international carbon footprint calculator and the Entrex platform gives climate-concerned companies a user-friendly way to navigate a rigorous carbon-neutrality verification process and to purchase a regulated carbon offset product. We are happy to welcome OVGO as Entrex Market Members.”
OVGO’s cookies can be purchased online and at local markets in Japan. The company is looking ahead to addressing its supply chain carbon footprint, next.
About OVGO, Inc.:
We have long been interested in ethical consumption and have been hearing the words “vegan,” “vegetarian,” and “flexitarian.” However, in Japan, the understanding of these types of dietary choices is not yet advanced, so the current situation is that the spread of vegans is overwhelmingly delayed compared to overseas in terms of the number of products and food labeling. Therefore, as a first initiative, we decided to sell vegan cookies that are as delicious as other products using butter and eggs without compromising on ingredients, taste and design. http://ovgo.biz
