Air Sealing

Air Sealing

The picture is of the south wall of the Garage which is the common wall between the house and the garage. This wall is sealed with closed cell spray foam on both sides as well as the rim band joist and the subfloor of the second floor above the garage.

Ventilation of the attacked garage is accomplished by supplying outside air through a dedicated earth tube system for supply and exhaust. The high low duct on the left side of the picture is the supply duct for the Garage.

The in-floor geothermal heating/cooling for the Garage slab is visible on the left side of the picture. The two Black pipes are the supply and return piping to the horizontal well field and the in-floor pex piping is the bundled piping on the left.
